"Evil Spirit Sogenbi" (悪霊そうげん火の巻, Akuryō Sōgenbi no Maki) is the eleventh episode of Go! Kotaro Ushiwaka.
Plot
As Kotaro Ushiwaka, Uragira and Nyudo were traveling across a prairie, the land ahead of them suddenly erupted into flame. When Kotaro approached to investigate, he was confronted by Coonjo; the fires were in fact the burials of fallen warriors whose restless spirits reincarnated as Onibi called Sogenbi. Using a magic orb, Coonjo commanded the Sogenbi to attack Kotaro, who attempted to fend them off but was unable to land any hits with his naginata. Instead, he decided to leap away and defeat the creatures at their source: Coonjo. Coonjo used the orb to pull Kotaro's naginata toward her, wielding it herself to battle him. Nyudo and Uragira appeared on the sidelines, but were caught in a wide slash by Coonjo, knocking them to the ground. Kotaro seized the opportunity to take Nyudo's fallen club, but it too began to be pulled in by Coonjo's orb. Realizing this, Kotaro threw the club, sending it flying at Coonjo and knocking the orb from her hands. Kotaro retrieved his naginata and used it to smash the orb, returning the Sogenbis' souls to their graves.
