The Godzilla timeline, as of October 2016

This is a list of the various continuities in the Godzilla series, along with the films and other official media that are confirmed to take place within them, listed in the order in which they chronologically take place.

Notes: The last five films in this continuity each take place the year after they were releases. The 1994 book Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla Super Complete Works states that MOGUERA was built using records of the original Moguera left behind from the Mysterians' 1957 invasion of Earth, suggesting The Mysterians is canon to the Heisei series.[2]

TriStar continuity

Godzilla 2000 continuity

Godzilla vs. Megaguirus continuity

GMK continuity

Kiryu Saga continuity

Kiryu Saga continuity

Godzilla: Final Wars continuity

Note: While Godzilla is still stated to have first appeared in 1954, the original film is not considered canon to Final Wars.[4]
