- For the character and film whose Japanese names also translate to "Giant Demon God," see Daimajin and Daimajin (film).
"The Giant Demon God" (巨大なる魔神, also called "The Song of Faro Island" Kyodainaru Majin) (ファロ島の歌, is the main theme of the Farotō no Uta)1962 Toho film King Kong vs. Godzilla. It is a song the natives of Faro Island sing to appease their god King Kong, and is performed with lyrics three times in the film. An instrumental version of the theme is used to underscore Kong in many scenes. Composer Akira Ifukube reused this song as "The Prayer of Sergio Island" (セルジオ島の祈り in Serujiotō no Inori)Space Amoeba, though the lyrics were changed. "The Giant Demon God" is included in instrumental form in the end credits suite for Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, and is also part of "The Theme of GODZILLA" in the television show Godzilla Island, with the original lyrics included.
