Not to be confused with Fake Gamera, a form of Morphos.

Fake Gamera (ニセガメラ,   Nise Gamera) is a doppelganger of Gamera who appears as the final boss in the 1995 Game Boy game Gamera the Guardian of the Universe.

Name

Though the title card for its level calls it Fake Gamera, the monster is referred to as simply "ガメラ" (Gamera) in the dialog and as "GAMERA" above its health bar.

Design

Fake Gamera is identical to Gamera (who utilizes his 1995 design in this game), due to it reusing Gamera's sprites. However, as an opponent instead of the player character, the sprites are mirrored to face left instead of right.
