What is a Godzilla Adjacent Movie?

A Godzilla Adjacent Movie is a movie that has connections to Godzilla. Here's a list of all of them.

Half Human- The Snowman appears in one panel of Godzilla: Rage Across Time.

Rodan- Rodan will eventually meet Godzilla.

The Mysterians- Moguera returns in Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla.

Varan- A junior version of Varan appears in D.A.M. (Destroy All Monsters)

The Three Treasures- Refrences to Orochi in GMK.

Battle in Outer Space- Considered a loose sequel to The Mysterians.

Mothra- Mothra will meet Godzilla sooner or later.

Gorath- The giant asteroid, Gorath returns in Final Wars.

Matango- Matango is in... Godzilla Island. WOOOOOOO!

Atragon- Gyotengo and Manda return.

Dogora- Like Matango, Dogora is in Godzilla Island. Dogora is also in Planet of the Monsters.

Frankenstein Conquers the World- Baragon.

The War of the Gargantuas- Sanda and Gaira appear in multiple peices of Godzilla media and references to the big, ugly man are made.

King Kong Escapes- Japanese title is King Kong's Counterattack, Gorosaurus.

Latitude Zero- The Griffin. I think the Griffin appears in a Godzilla comic.

Space Amoeba- Kamobeas is in Tokyo S.O.S.

Orochi, the Eight-Headed Dragon- Considered a loose remake of treasuresx3.

The Rebirth of Mothra Trilogy- Mothra. Godzilla. They have already met, they will meet again.

Godzilla- Yes. This is not a Godzilla movie. It's a Zilla movie. I am going to get murdered for saying that.

Kong: Skull Island- Part of the Monsterverse continuity.

Ready Player One- Mechagodzilla. Boom.

Ok, watch all that if you want the full experience.

Godzilla vs. Hedorah: The Unofficial Novelization

Chapter One

A young boy was playing on the wet, soggy grass that was his backyard. He was very proud of his collection of figures of his favourite thing: Godzilla. He pushed his favourite figure, Godzilla up and down the bright red slide. This boy was Ken. Ken thought Godzilla was a Superman.

Ken's mother then called Ken in to eat his lunch. He placed Godzilla down onto the shelves of figurines on his shed shelves and went inside.

Ken was the youngest in a family of three. His mother worked at a job that he knew nothing about. Meanwhile, Ken's father was a scientist who studied marine biology.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. "Good Afternoon." said the visitor at the door. "Mr. Gohei! Have you brought us another unusual fish?" Mr. Gohei replied "Yes. This is quite an odd one."

Mr. Gohei lay the odd-looking fish on the Yano's table. "There's nothing odd about that! That's just a tadpole!" exclaimed Ken's father, Toru. "It's too big to be a tadpole." replied Mr. Gohei. "Plus, tadpoles don't live in the ocean."

"Where did you catch this?" Toru wondered aloud. "Prime spot for shrimp fishing. Funnily enough, I didn't catch a single fish!" Ken had been listening to the whole conversation and joined in. "Is it some sort of sea monster?" The two men looked at each other. Maybe. thought Toru.

"An secret nation's weapon? Belonging to the Empire of Mu?" chimed in Mr. Gohei. "Whatever it was... its terrible force heaved the ships apart in an instant." added Ken. "It's a tadpole monster!" exclaimed the three in unison.

Chapter two coming soon!

What I have to say about unmade Godzilla films.

This is how I think every unmade Godzilla film would of ended up doing. This is currently a work in progress.

01- The Ghostly Whale That Came from The Sea To Attack Tokyo (1952)

This was actually meant to be the first Godzilla film. I would kind of like to see what this would of been because looking at the concept Godzilla (1954 film)/Gallery on the page for Godzilla 1954 it looks like an radiated King Kong with a mushroom cloud. Honestly, kind of a creepy design. I have a strong feeling this Ghostly Whale That Came from- God, that title is too long. Anyway, I feel like it just would of been left in the pile of irradiated monster movies. Like, The Giant Behemoth from 1959.

Film 02- The Giant Monster from 20,000 Miles Under The Sea (1953)

Eiji Tsuburaya's other pre-Godzilla concept. I think it would of been a big hit in Japan at the time. (but probably would of been forgotten in a few years) I would either not of been published in America as of the Beast from 20,000 Fathoms title rip-off.

Film 03- Project G (1954)

I don't really have much to say about Project G. Probably because it seems pretty similar to Godzilla 1954. Meant to be uhhh... Odako. The Giant Octopus. Man, Tsuburaya had some crazy ideas. Then '54 came and it was a big success.

Film 04- Bride of Godzilla? (1956)

Here we have the most famous unmade Godzilla film of them all. Bride of Godzilla? would of been a total disaster. It's wacky plot would of been to much for even Japanese audiences to handle. It is a little known fact that Bride of Godzilla? was going to be remade in 1978 to a completely different film. I'll... get to that. Anyway, I love me some Anguirus whenever I can.

Funny Comments

GAMERA -Rebirth-

VaderForVa: I rewatched it today. It was amazing. Probably gonna be the best Kaiju media of the century

KiryuGoji2002: That's debatable since Minus One exists.

VaderForVa: Minus One is good, but it aint gamera

Godrizza: which won an oscar

VaderForVa: The Oscars are idiotic

Rebirth of Mothra 3

JohnGojira: Looks like we got at least one decent Kaiju film in 1998 lol (I'm probably going to get shot for this)
