Trivia

  • This episode marks Godzilla's first appearance of the season, albeit only in Kentaro's dream. Said dream is also his first depiction ashore in Japan in the Monsterverse.
  • This is, so far, the only episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters in which Tim does not appear. It is also the first episode of the season to not feature Outpost 18.
  • A newscaster on a TV in Sota's Bar is played by James McGrady, one of the show's first assistant directors. He earlier voiced a newscaster in "Trespass."
  • This episode presents a retcon: Shaw repeatedly states he came out of a rift at Mount Osore in 1982, despite "Axis Mundi" establishing it was Higashiizumo, over 600 miles away.
  • Though not shown onscreen, further pages of Kentaro's sketchbook were prepared, including illustrations of the Death Jackal, Needlewalker, Mother Longlegs, Spore Mantis, Skullcrawler, and Vinestrangler.[2]
