"Requiem" (レクイエム, Rekuiemu) is the 16th episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and the sixth episode of its second season. Directed by Jeff F. King and written by Maria Melnik, it premiered on Apple TV on April 3, 2026.[1]

This episode marks Godzilla's first appearance of the season, albeit only in Kentaro's dream. Said dream is also his first depiction ashore in Japan in the Monsterverse.
This is, so far, the only episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters in which Tim does not appear. It is also the first episode of the season to not feature Outpost 18.
A newscaster on a TV in Sota's Bar is played by James McGrady, one of the show's first assistant directors. He earlier voiced a newscaster in "Trespass."
This episode presents a retcon: Shaw repeatedly states he came out of a rift at Mount Osore in 1982, despite "Axis Mundi" establishing it was Higashiizumo, over 600 miles away.
