Unreleased figures
Jordan Vogt-Roberts Figure
Lanard Design Director Blake Nichols posted a figure of Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts on his Instagram on March 22, 2017. It appears to be a custom figure that was never intended for release.
Monstrous Pack
Lanard Design Director Blake Nichols posted a picture of an unreleased Kong: Skull Island figure set on his Instagram on June 4, 2017. The figures included were Kong, a Skullcrawler, Mother Longlegs, a Leafwing, and Mason Weaver. The Kong figure appears to be the 18 inch Mega-Figure, while the other monsters are taken from the Creature Contact sets. The Weaver figure shown is a repainted Puma from Lanard's The Corps! line. This set is a preproduction packaging sample; the final version would have included a digitally scanned likeness of Brie Larson for the Mason Weaver figure.[citation needed]
Bootlegs
Kong 18 inch Mega-Figure
A bootleg of the Kong 18 inch Mega-Figure was discovered on the Philippine site Mybenta.com. Unlike the offcial counterpart the bootleg has no articulation in the arms and has a sloppy paint job.

Trivia
- All of the human figures in Lanard's Kong: Skull Island line have repainted body sculpts from the company's The Corps! line. The heads of the James Conrad and Preston Packard figures are new sculpts, made from 3D scans of actors Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson.
- The monster figures for Kong: Skull Island are given inaccurate names. The Mother Longlegs is simply called "Spider," while the Leafwing is called "Pterodactylus." In early press releases about the line, the Skullcrawler was called "Dino Monster."
