Monarch Sciences was a Warner Bros. website for the fictional Monsterverse organization Monarch, created to promote the 2019 film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The site existed from 2018 to 2021, after which it served as a redirect to the official website of Godzilla vs. Kong. The link now redirects to @MonarchSciences on X.
The website had its visitors take the role of a Monarch Civilian Operative, trying to gain access to information regarding the Titans and being able to track Godzilla in "real time."
Feature
Outposts
The website's main feature was an interactive 3D globe on which Monarch outposts could be seen and Godzilla could be tracked. The only accessible outposts were 32 (Monster Zero, Antarctica), 61 (Mothra, Temple of the Moth) and 56 (Rodan, Isla de Mara), which featured their respective profiles and images of their depictions throughout history.
The files were divided into three clearance levels: Green, Amber and Crimson, with Green being the lowest and available to everyone, while Crimson was the highest and reserved for high-ranking civilian operatives only. To obtain the Amber Clearance, the user simply had to find Godzilla on the map and click on him. To get the Crimson Clearance, the user had to enter 251720614 in the console, gaining access to all of the files.
Profiles
ORCA
ORCA was a minigame based on the device of the same name that appears in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. By matching colored rights, the user was able to "communicate with Titans," and montages of clips from the movie were shown after doing so successfully. Accompanying the videos was text with some basic information about the Titans, such as their classification, size, special abilities, and behavior.
