The Metalferds, are a group of modified humans created by Toho that first appear in the 1996 tokusatsu kaiju series, Guyferd.
History
Heisei era
Seven Star Fighting God Guyferd
Metalferds are ex-humans who have been converted into Guyborgs and mutated with the Fallah virus into highly adept fighters. They were used as elite operatives by the Crown Corporation for various purposes, most notably, to exterminate the accidental first Metalferd, Guyferd, who had been exposed to the virus long before his conversion surgery. Crown remained oblivious to what made a Metalferd until they treated an unnamed Guyborg with Fallah, and it began to transform like Guyferd, but only in its arms. They attempted to force it back, but the Metalferd escaped and was confronted and killed outside by the Mutian Antaleess, but Crown had gained the crucial knowledge as to how to recreate Guyferd.
