Trivia

  • Go! Kotaro Ushiwaka was the last of the four tokusatsu shows to be featured in Nippon Television's Good Morning! Kid's Show segment, preceded by Redman, Go! Godman, and Go! Greenman.
    • It is also the first and only Good Morning! Kid's Show series where the titular hero's name does not contain the word "man."
  • Go! Kotaro Ushiwaka was filmed in cooperation with Yomiuriland (episode 49), the Hakonekowaki Park Children's Village (episodes 50, 111), Fuji-Q Highland (episodes 81, 86, 101, 129, 134), Japan Land (episodes 91, 95, 106, 139, 144), and Mother Farm (episodes 98-99, 104, 109, 114, 119, 124).
  • A number of pieces of suits from previous tokusatsu productions were reused to portray some of the yokai in the series.
    • Monro's head from Kure Kure Takora, which is in extremely poor condition, was altered and reused for the Perceptive Yokai, Doll Yokai, and an unnamed birdlike yokai in episode 31.
