[[Anguirus]] approaches [[Godzilla-kun]], [[Minilla]], and [[Godzilla Junior|Little]] as they are preparing to train, telling them that he has located a mysterious egg. They follow him to a massive sheer cliff atop which the egg is perched. Godzilla instructs Anguirus to check it out, and he begins to climb the cliff face as they cheer him on. However, before he can make it to the top, Anguirus becomes tired and loses his grip, tumbling back down while tucked into a ball and rolling uncontrollably toward them. After running a short distance, the three dodge out of the way, leaving Anguirus rolling toward a nearby oasis. He rolls up a palm tree which sways under his weight before slingshotting him through the air back toward the cliff. He lands next to the brothers, exclaiming that he has returned. The group next try to scale the rocks all at once, but slide back down after each attempt. They finally race high up the rock wall, but Anguirus slips again, this time rolling past the forest and disappearing into the distance. Godzilla-kun climbs a short distance further before reaching out for the egg, but the brothers all slide down again. Rethinking their strategy, they take inspiration from Anguirus' initial failing; Godzilla-kun pulls down the palm tree to launch Little and Minilla. They land atop the cliff just next to the egg, but are suddenly shaken by a rockslide. The pair huddle around the egg in an attempt to protect it, but Minilla, grasping the egg, falls from the cliff due to the violent quaking. Luckily, the monster lands on his back, leaving the egg unscathed. Sometime later, the Godzilla brothers construct a nest for the egg to be kept in.
