"Special Training: Discus!" (特訓！円盤なげの巻, Tokkun! Enban Nage no Maki, lit. "Volume of: Special Training! Discus Throw") is the first episode of the third season of Godziban and the 35th episode overall, as well as the 19th installment of its Go! Go! Godzilla-kun segment. Toho's Godzilla Channel uploaded it to YouTube on March 26, 2021, with an English-subtitled version on the GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO channel following on May 13, 2022.
Plot
The Xilien invader Lei Lei comes to Earth and shrinks her saucer to evade detection when journeying to Godzi Godzi Island. She first captures Anguirus before moving on to survey the rest of the island. Meanwhile, Godzilla-kun is leading Minilla and Little in shot put training with a boulder. Little's first throw is pitifully short, while Minilla's first throw lands on Godzilla-kun's foot. When Godzilla-kun encourages his brothers to try and put more strength into their throws, the boulders end up being thrown into his face. While the dazed Godzilla-kun tells Little and Minilla to work on their aim, Lei Lei arrives on the scene and decides to try and capture the three brothers. However, her saucer is accidentally knocked out of the sky by Little and Minilla, with Godzilla-kun being briefly rendered unconscious when the two boulders land on his head. After coming to, Godzilla-kun decides to move on to discus practice. Looking for a disc to throw, Little finds Lei Lei's crashed saucer. Godzilla-kun encourages Little to spin before making his throw, to the dismay of Lei Lei, resulting in the saucer hitting Godzilla-kun in the back of the head. As Lei Lei reactivates her saucer's engines, she ends up flying into Minilla's hands, who also gives it a spin before throwing it at Godzilla-kun again. Lei Lei decides to angrily retreat and takes off into the skies, only for Moshu-Moshu, who is helicoptering herself into the air on a piece of red bamboo, to knock her ship off course and free Anguirus from his bubble. He thanks Mothra for the save while the Three Godzilla Brothers are oblivious to what just happened. Meanwhile, the fuming Lei Lei retreats to space, noting how useful the kaiju could be in conquering the Earth.
