Bakugon (バクゴン,   Bakugon) is a tapir-like Terror-Beast who first appeared in episode 23 of the 1973 Toho tokusatsu kaiju series Zone Fighter, titled "Secret of the Great Terror-Beast Bakugon."

Name

Bakugon's name is most likely derived from the baku, a tapir-like creature from Japanese mythology upon which the monster's design may have been based.

According to Toho Special Effects: All Kaiju Illustrated Encyclopedia, Bakugon was born on Planet Garoga, the same homeworld as the Garogas.
