[[Godzilla-kun]], [[Godzilla Junior|Little]], and [[Minilla]] practice their punches. Minilla soon wanders off to help [[Rodan|Radon]] practice flying. He maintains lift for a few seconds, then plummets to the ground. Minilla takes him back to the Godzilla Brothers' house, where he feeds him a [[Meganulon]]-shaped plant. They return to the cliff to try again, but the [[Dorat|Dorats]] appear to menace them. Minilla shields Radon from their Gravity Beams. Suddenly, an adult Rodan swoops to tackle the Dorats, who beat a hasty retreat. He converses with the Godzilla Brothers for a time, explaining that he's been searching for the hatchling to take him to [[Mount Aso]], where the hot springs help strengthen a young Rodan's wings for flight. Though they are of the same species, Radon is frightened by him and runs to Minilla, who asserts that he can still train Radon to fly, though Rodan is concerned about Minilla's ability to protect his younger sibling. That night, a regretful Minilla leaves home for a trek into the misty wastes, knowing that Radon will follow him. He practices his punches again and tells Radon he can't take care of him anymore as Rodan arrives and convinces Radon to leave with him. His back turned to them, tears well in Minilla's eyes.
