Gelderah (ゲルデラー is a Geruderā)kaiju created by Toho that first appeared in episode 8 of the 1973 tokusatsu kaiju series, Zone Fighter, titled Defeat the Invader of Fear!.
Design
Gelderah bears resemblance to a beaked dragon, and also has features of an insect such as the large antennae protruding from his forehead. He also has pointed, elf-like ears for hearing and his brain is visible in between them which glows red and orange. His scales are yellow and blue.

After a Garoga Terror-Missile had crashed into a lake and Zone Fighter had stopped the activity of the Garoga agents nearby, the missile exploded and released the Red Headed Terror-Beast Gelderah. Zone Fighter grew to giant size and engaged Gelderah in an epic battle, concluding with Zone Fighter cutting the monster's head off with a level 2 Arrow Beam.
Abilities
- Geldarah can breath a corrosive mist from his mouth that can cause explosions or set anything it contacts ablaze.
- Gelderah possesses sharp teeth which he can utilize to grip an opponent, albeit painfully.
