History

Godzilla: The Series

Monster Wars: Part 1

The Giant Bat was a Mutation living in Nigeria where it terrorized villages under Tachyon control until the recently disbanded H.E.A.T. team was called to eliminate it. They re-formed in the conflict and were able to get Godzilla to send Giant Bat into retreat.

Monster Wars: Part 2

The Tachyons continued to use Giant Bat and several other Mutations to eliminate H.E.A.T. until Cyber-Godzilla was released and they were sent to destroy different major cities around the world.

Monster Wars: Part 3

Giant BAt continued to fight Godzilla for the Tachyons until their control beacon was destroyed. Giant Bat and the other Mutations then turned on each other before the island was turned into Monster Island, a place where the United States Government could research them.

S.C.A.L.E.

A few months later, the organization S.C.A.L.E. freed the monsters of Monster Island, including the Giant Bat. He faced a few monsters before being recaptured and returned to his area of the Island.

Future Shock

In an alternate future where the D.R.A.G.M.A.s took over the earth, the Giant Bat was killed along with the other monsters of Monster Island.

Underground Movement

A giant mutant vampire bat, possibly the same creature, was briefly mentioned in the episode Underground Movement. Most of the H.E.A.T. team had to go to Florida to settle a lawsuit for the damages that were caused while Godzilla fought it. Fortunately, the suit was thrown out and H.E.A.T. returned to their mission.

Abilities

  • The Giant Bat's sonic screech is powerful enough to temporarily stun larger monsters like Godzilla and destroy structures such a monument in Paris.
  • The Giant Bat is able to fly at high speed and altitude for long periods of time.
  • The Giant Bat is strong enough to carry a wagon with several adult cows into the air.
  • The Giant Bat's jaws are powerful enough to damage Godzilla.
