"Freeze" is the sixteenth episode of Godzilla: The Series.
Plot
The episode opens with a discussion between some people in the Antarctic and some businessmen, who agree to drill for oil in that region shortly before they fall into the earth. Meanwhile, Godzilla is so hungry that he has begun to attack fishing boats in the harbor. at H.E.A.T. headquarters, the team are watching a news story on the disappearance of the drillers, and a Commoil official tells the public that a rescue mission is being held, and that wheen they go, they will drill. Nick decides that the earth tremors experienced in the South Pole are being caused by a new Mutation, so they leave for Antarctica. When they get there, they are welcomed to the expedition by a Commoil company representative. They try to make camp on a plateau, but on the way there, the mysterious ice-monsters take N.I.G.E.L. and almost take Randy Hernandez. They find an Ice Borer attached to his boot, and they capture it. The Commoil executive is unwilling to believe that a "hamster" as he put it, could be responsible for the disappearance of five workers, and chooses to blame "geological causes". Shortly after discovering that Ice-Borers travel in packs, and that they the H.E.A.T. and Commoil teams were likely to be next on the Borer's menu, they discover that their captive Borer "Cuddles" is missing. Nick and Monique Dupre head back out to retrieve N.I.G.E.L., but they are attacked by two fully grown Ice-Borers. The team worries for a minute, before Godzilla rises from the ice to defend them. The Ice-Borers, dwarfed next to Godzilla, begin to attack him as a team, and he is defeated. They develop liquid Nitrogen guns, and begin to freeze the Ice-Borers to defeat them, and they receive help from Godzilla, who is alive. They defeat the Borers, and the lost drillers are rescued.
