It has four legs with five claws on each foot and spikes running down its tail with the tail ending with a large, spiked club. History

Godzilla: The Series

"End of the Line"

The Giant Turtle was first seen off the coast of Alaska when it sank the Borealis, the ship that Niko Tatopoulos and Audrey Timmonds were having a romantic cruise on. It damaged the ship, but caused no casualties. It attacked again when it found them on a nearby deserted island, but it drew too close to Komodithrax's nest, and it was attacked and defeated. It later awakened and returned in an attempt to eat Komodithrax's egg. It was able to get the egg away from the nest while the military launched a missile strike on the island. Godzilla then attempted to stop the Giant Turtle from damaging the egg, but he was also defeated. Komodithrax then awakened and rolled the Giant Turtle onto his back and pushed him into a fissure in the ice, but the monster pulled Komodithrax and her egg into the fissure with it.

Abilities

Durability

The Giant Turtle's shell is invulnerable to both Komodithrax and Godzilla's atomic breath and missiles.

Physical abilities

The Giant Turtle uses its large fangs to bite its targets, and its beak is strong enough to crack Komodithrax's egg. The Giant Turtle uses its club tail to bludgeon its enemies, and was able to knock both Komodithrax and Godzilla unconscious just by ramming into them.

Burrowing

The Giant Turtle appears to have the ability to burrow, as after it ran away with Komodithrax's egg, it later erupted from beneath the ground.

Extendable neck

The Giant Turtle has an extendable neck that it uses to reel back into its shell whenever it is being attacked as well as using its neck to reach its targets.

Amphibiousness

Due to being a turtle, the Giant Turtle is an adept swimmer.

Weaknesses

The Giant Turtle was easily buried under ice and knocked out after Komodithrax pushed the creature back against an ice wall and then blasting it with her atomic breath. When the Giant Turtle's neck is extended it is vulnerable to attacks from enemies. Once Komodithrax threw the Giant Turtle onto its back, the creature could do nothing as Komodithrax pushed it towards a fissure. The Giant Turtle could not do nothing as it tried to hold on from falling down into the fissure. The creature eventually plummeted into the fissure, presumably killing it.

Trivia

  • The Giant Turtle shares some characteristics, specifically its spiky carapace and extendable neck, with the kaiju Kamoebas. The two large tusks on its lower jaw may be in reference to Gamera.
  • The back shell of a child's plush doll of the Giant Turtle is briefly seen in episode 6 of Godzilla: Singular Point, sitting alongside plushes for Godzilla, Komodithrax, and her egg from the same episode of Godzilla: The Series, as well as a plush of Godzooky from the Hanna-Barbera Godzilla cartoon.
