The Giant Squid (巨大イカ,   Kyodai Ika) is a squid monster who appears in the 1979 Godzilla episode "Calico Clones."

Design

The giant squid resembles a octopus with a big beak on the front. The giant squid is dark red in color with yellow eyes. It does not resemble its real-life counterpart at all.

History

When the Calico crew escaped sinister clones of themselves, the scientist responsible for the clones' creation, Doctor Voltrang, sent out his deadly Giant Squid to recapture them. Captain Majors summoned Godzilla, who tied the Squid's tentacles into knots, forcing the Giant Squid to retreat.
