"Bug Out" is the seventeenth episode of Godzilla: The Series.
Plot
The episode begins with some loggers being attacked by Giant Mutant Termites. Meanwhile, Niko Tatopoulos is greatly distraught by the fact that Godzilla has begun to attack New York City. the cause of Godzilla's outbursts is decided to be that he has matured enough to "be its own commander", and stop listening to Nick. Godzilla begins to receive great amounts of negative press, and H.E.A.T. is called to the United Nations building to be assigned to investigate the Brazilian rain-forests, which are rapidly disappearing. They travel to Brazil, and are attacked by Termites. They begin to review the case at their camp, but Audrey Timmonds and her cameraman Victor "Animal" Palotti are dropped in by helicopter. They decide to defeat the Termites with sound waves, but are attacked and driven out of camp before they can act. They call for Godzilla, but he is overtaken by the swarms of Termites. When the attack is over, Mendel Craven begins to develop transmitters to emit sound waves that will turn the termites on each other. They set up the transmitters, and enter the mound. Dr. Craven activates the transmitters and the termites begin to fight one another. The team finds themselves trapped in the tunnels, but they are saved by Godzilla. They set explosives in the nest, and escape. Mick then determines that Godzilla's violent outbursts are caused by a minor chemical imbalance.
