The Santa Marta Plant is a giant plant kaiju created by TriStar that first appeared in episode 9 of the 1998 animated series, Godzilla: The Series, titled "Hive".
History
Godzilla: The Series
"Hive"
On the popular island resort of Santa Marta, a volcano erupted, which created a strange new ecosystem, which prompted H.E.A.T. to investigate. Whilst Monique Dupre and Mendel Craven went off to the resort, Nick Tatopoulos and Randy Hernandez came across the Santa Marta Plant and began to fight it. Amidst the struggle, Godzilla arrived and began to fight the Santa Marta Plant across the island.
Abilities
Entanglement
The Santa Marta Plants main attack is constricting its victims with its vines. The vines can be grouped together to create a stronger vine that can withstand attacks and trap larger opponents.
Burrowing
The vines of the Santa Marta Plant can burrow underground to catch foes off guard or overwhelm them.
