(Don't really understand why these were taken out of their chronological order. Sure King Kong is the reason its on the site, but that doesn't make him or his stage's enemies appear any sooner.)

Konami Wai Wai World (コナミワイワイワールド,   Konami Wai Wai Wārudo) is a video game developed by Konami for the Famicom which was released to Japanese markets on January 14, 1988. A sequel for the Famicom was produced in 1991, and a mobile version of the original game was released on April 5, 2006. The game is notable for crossing over a number of characters and stages from various Konami-produced games, including King Kong from King Kong 2: Furious Megaton Punch.

Gameplay

Konami Wai Wai World follows the efforts of Konami Man and Konami Lady to rescue 6 characters from different Konami stages. Each of the stages are selectable and can be played in any order. Once the player makes it to the end of a stage, a boss or other challenge must be confronted to receive a key, the use of which is to free that level's character who then becomes playable. A multitude of moves and abilities can also be acquired throughout the events of the game. Once all 6 of the captured characters are retrieved, two final stages, a space shooter side-scroller and the end level, are to be completed. The player will also regularly visit the lab of Dr. Cinnamon who provides character profiles and energy refills. Another character named Saimon can also be interacted with there and can revive any characters who have been defeated.
