Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game series published by Activision which began in 2003. Two of its games, Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone, crossed over with Godzilla vs. Kong in a limited-time mode called Operation Monarch, which ran from May 11 to May 25, 2022.
Operation Monarch storyline
After the Nazi detonate toxic Nebula V bombs in cities around the world, Godzilla and King Kong awaken and run amok in Caldera, an island in the Indonesian archipelago contested by Axis and Allied forces. The Titans do not actually battle each other, with Kong sticking to land while Godzilla roams the waters around the island. Monarch, a secret organization which studies and defends against such Titans, aids players with intelligence and S.C.R.E.A.M. (Titan Sonic Communication Radar and Echolocation Array Module) Devices which allow them to channel their abilities. Godzilla and Kong do not actively target players unless they enter a Titan Frenzy. The squad which deals the most damage to them during this event will receive S.C.R.E.A.M. Devices.
