- For the original organic form of this monster, see Godzilla (TriStar).
- Monique Dupre: “What is that thing?”
- Elsie Chapman: “Oh, just a little something me and the aliens whipped up.”

Cyber Godzilla (サイバー・ゴジラ is a cybernetic Saibā Gojira)monster who first appeared in the 1999 Godzilla: The Series episode "Monster Wars: Part 2."
The result of the Leviathan Aliens recovering and cybernetically reviving the corpse of the first Godzilla, Cyber Godzilla was the centerpiece of the aliens' planned invasion of Earth. They first released the cyborg to intercept its son, using its parental influence to bring him under the aliens' control. Cyber Godzilla was then set loose on Tokyo as the aliens' other mind-controlled monsters assaulted major cities around the globe. Cyber Godzilla was eventually defeated after the current Godzilla's surrogate father Niko Tatopoulos freed him from the aliens' mind control and convinced him to fight his biological father.
Name
Cyber Godzilla's name comes from "cyber," referring to the monster's status as a cyborg, and "Godzilla." The nickname "Cyber-Zilla" comes from the fact the TriStar Godzilla's design was later trademarked as a new character called "Zilla" by Toho. The Leviathan Aliens simply refer to Cyber Godzilla as "the cyborg." Nick Tatopoulos also alludes to Cyber Godzilla as Godzilla's "daddy."
Origins
Cyber Godzilla is the original Godzilla that nested in New York City in 1998. Following the creature's death, its corpse was taken to a military base for study. When the Leviathan Aliens overtook the base, they used their technology to modify Godzilla into a cyborg that was completely under their control, using it to turn the second Godzilla against humanity and recruit him to their cause. Cyber Godzilla is completely under the control of the Leviathan Aliens, though he is still able to recognize the second Godzilla as his son.
History
Godzilla: The Series
"Monster Wars: Part 2"
Immediately following his resurrection, Cyber Godzilla was sent to eliminate Nick Tatopoulos and Mendel Craven, who had broken into Sandy Point Military Base to rescue their friends from Leviathan Alien control. The new Godzilla, Cyber Godzilla's only living offspring, arrived to protect Tatopoulos, but became conflicted by having to choose between parents. In his moment of hesitation, the Leviathan Aliens took control of him and the father and son worked together to try and eliminate the intruders. After being thrown off the humans' trail, the monsters were sent into the world's major cities to cause destruction, with Cyber Godzilla attacking Tokyo.
"Monster Wars: Part 3"
Cyber Godzilla continued his rampage until the Leviathan Alien mind control unit was destroyed. He was unaffected by this due to his implants, and was then tasked with eliminating the H.E.A.T. team once again. Godzilla chose Tatopoulos over his father, however, and the two clashed. Their quarrel went on until Godzilla tackled Cyber Godzilla into the water and tore out his internal mechanisms.
Abilities
Atomic breath
Cyber Godzilla is armed with an atomic heat ray which is blue in color (an obvious reference to the Japanese Godzilla) as opposed to his son, whose atomic breath is green.
Energy missiles
Cyber Godzilla can fire up to eight energy missiles from the missile launchers on his dorsal fins. When fired, they tend to have a blue or a green color.
Dish
Cyber Godzilla has a cybernetic dish located in his chest, which can reflect sound-based waves and attacks back to their source. It was used against the Giant Bat to counter its sonic screech.
Physical capabilities
Cyber Godzilla retains his previous abilities prior to his modification, including an impressive running speed and jumping ability as well as an amphibious lifestyle.
Durability
Cyber Godzilla's physical durability is enhanced compared to his organic form, as he is now resistant to human weaponry and can hold his own in combat with other monsters.
Video games
- Godzilla: The Series - Monster Wars (2000) - Nintendo Game Boy Color
Godzilla: The Series - Monster Wars
While Cyber Godzilla's origins and links to a nondescript race of aliens, are never addressed, Cyber Godzilla remains the reanimated corpse of the first Godzilla, however in this adaptation, she is exclusively erroneously referred to as female. She was forced to battle her son and fired several missiles at him, but was ultimately put out of operation, allowing Godzilla to once again rest in peace.

Roar
Cyber Godzilla's roar is a TriStar Godzilla roar that has been edited to sound more mechanical.

Trivia
- Cyber Godzilla is a clear reference to Mechagodzilla and Mecha-King Ghidorah, the latter also being a cyborg.
- Cyber Godzilla shares many similarities to the Millennium Mechagodzilla, Kiryu, as both are previously dead kaiju that are resurrected using robotic technology and made to fight another kaiju of the same species as them. The largest difference between the two is that Kiryu is a biomecha with its skeleton, DNA, and nervous tissue as its only organic components, while Cyber Godzilla is a cyborg, with much of its organic body intact.
- Cyber Godzilla possesses a blue atomic breath and attacks Tokyo, both clear references to the Japanese Godzilla.
- While Cyber Godzilla, TriStar's Godzilla, and Zilla are all acknowledged as being male, the 2000 video game Godzilla: The Series - Monster Wars makes the mistake of calling him "she" several times over. This is not an uncommon misconception among people who have only seen the 1998 TriStar film and witnessed Godzilla laying eggs.
