Godzilla vs. Barubaroi (ゴジラVSバルバロイ is an unmade Gojira buiesu Barubaroi)1995 Godzilla film.
Plot
The film's plot is unknown, aside from the fact that Godzilla would have battled Barubaroi.
History
Godzilla vs. Barubaroi was considered for the final entry in the Heisei series following the abandonment of Godzilla vs. Ghost Godzilla. Godzilla's opponent, Ghost Godzilla, was replaced by a new creature dubbed Barubaroi. Not much is known about the film's plot, aside from the appearance of Barubaroi evolving and growing throughout the film and battling Godzilla and Godzilla Junior. Concept art for a deformed insectoid creature resembling Anguirus is included among concept art for Godzilla vs. Ghost Godzilla in the book Heisei Godzilla Perfection, and is speculated to be the creature Barubaroi imitating Anguirus, similar to the titular creature from John Carpenter's film The Thing.
As rewrites were performed to the film's screenplay, it was decided to follow the example of the discarded Godzilla vs. Ghost Godzilla film and make Godzilla's opponent connect to the original 1954 film. This time, instead of Godzilla's enemy being connected to Godzilla himself, it was decided to make it connected to the weapon that killed the original Godzilla, the Oxygen Destroyer. Barubaroi was renamed Destoroyah and altered to resemble a crustacean. Ultimately, the film became Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.
