The Bride of Godzilla (ゴジラの花嫁,   Gojira no Hanayome) is a giant humanoid robot which appeared in the unfilmed 1956 Godzilla screenplay, Bride of Godzilla?.

Name

The Bride of Godzilla's fanmade name "Robomusume" comes from "Robot" and "musume," meaning daughter in Japanese.[1]

Design

The Bride of Godzilla is described to be made in the image of the foster daughter of Dr. Shida and is mentioned to be naked.

History

Bride of Godzilla?

The Bride of Godzilla was built by Dr. Shida in the image of his foster daughter. The Bride is sent to protect Japan, after it is discovered that a group of giant monsters are leaving the Hollow Earth. She defeats Giant Chameleon, Giant Archaeopteryx, and Anguirus in turn, and fights Godzilla, who falls in love with her. Later on, she takes Godzilla to the center of the Hollow Earth. There, she detonates the hydrogen bomb in her chest, sealing off the entrance to the Hollow Earth and leaving Godzilla's fate unknown.

That idea started in the 17th century - though between this and Gigantis, it's amusing to see how much MonsterVerse lore had precedent in Godzilla's first decade.

Again, concept art was never prepared. Whatever you saw was likely fan art.

Not that it was scrapped, but that it existed.

I'm imagining a parallel universe where this film was made and every kaiju fan who collected X-Plus figures are ashamed to have a giant naked woman stood with their giant monsters.

It's like certain depictions of holo from spice and wolf.

If they made it so she doesn't have nipples and a you-know-what I can see this as a decent kaiju in a Godzilla anime or something.
