MechaMothra
Template:Kaiju Infobox Unmade MechaMothra (メカモスラ Mekamosura) is a cyborg kaiju from an unmade 1993 Godzilla vs. Mothra sequel.
Design
MechaMothra would have looked like a cyborg Mothra, and was described by Kenpachiro Satsuma as "looking more like a dragonfly than like Mothra."[1]
History
Godzilla vs. Mothra
Koichi Kawakita, special effects director for many of the Heisei series Godzilla films, originally wanted Mothra to be killed at the end of Godzilla vs. Mothra and have her turned into a cyborg in the sequel.[1] It's unknown if MechaMothra would have fought Godzilla or been an ally of him.
Trivia
- MechaMothra's concept was very similar to what happened with King Ghidorah and Mecha-King Ghidorah. The original monster was killed and then brought back as a cyborg.
