''Star Godzilla'' is a unmade kaiju film. It was being worked on without permission. The studio behind it posted an advertisement for it on Variety, where Toho quickly shut the project down. Little to nothing is known about the plot. The poster states that "The Old World and the New World Meet". This could give a clue about what the plot was about.

History

To be produced by Hong Kong's First Distributors (H.K.) Ltd., Star Godzilla was announced with a poster in the pages of the May 7, 1980 issue of Variety. Although nothing is known about the proposed plot, the ad art depicts Godzilla, King Kong, and Anguirus among a burning city, surrounded by UFOs and various military vehicles. It's believed that threat of legal action from Toho put an end to the project.[1] The ad cites Futien Hsu as director, Joy Hsu as producer, Chris Lee as screenwriter, and a cast of Joey Fang, Chang Ching, and Charles Woo.
