History
In an early draft of what ultimately became Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, AstroGodzilla (a prototype for SpaceGodzilla) led an army of giant alien dragonflies. In one draft of the screenplay, three of these dragonflies were to attack Little Godzilla on Birth Island. Director Kensho Yamashi ultimately decided not to include the sequence in the finished film.[1]
Trivia
- Toho would go on to feature two kaiju based on dragonflies, Meganula and Megaguirus, who both appear in the second movie of the Millennium series, Godzilla vs. Megaguirus.
