Terror of SpaceGodzilla[1] (スペースゴジラの逆襲 is an early proposal for the seventh Supesugojira no Gyakushu)film of the Godzilla series' Heisei era, written by Yosuke Nakano. A direct sequel to the previous year's Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, it would have taken place shortly after that film's events and have Godzilla and LittleGodzilla team up with a rebuilt MOGUERA to kill SpaceGodzilla once and for all.
Plot
Though Godzilla annihilated SpaceGodzilla with his Burn Spiral Heat Ray, a small fragment of the alien monster remained orbiting Earth and eventually attached to a space station. The SpaceGodzilla shard rapidly grew around it until it was multiple square kilometers in size and began laying waste to the world below with gravitational disruptions, barrages of electromagnetic waves, and crystalizing matter on the ground. While G-Force took the battle to the SpaceGodzilla satellite with new weaponry and Space MOGUERA, Godzilla and LittleGodzilla persistently battled the invader from the ground.
History
Terror of Spacegodzilla was one of several proposed films written by Yosuke "Yo★Nakano" Nakano and one of three he submitted to Toho. Mostly written before it was decided that Godzilla would die in Godzilla 7, Yo★Nakano later updated his script to include a death scene for Godzilla prior to submission. Instead of bringing back SpaceGodzilla proper, Yo★Nakano's script created a new monster grown from his cells, similar to the relationship between Frankenstein, Sanda, and Gaira. Unsatisfied with how poorly his meticulously-storyboarded battle between SpaceGodzilla and MOGUERA had turned out in the previous film, Yo★Nakano included a much more climactic space battle between the two in his script.
Yo★Nakano previously wrote another story starring a revived SpaceGodzilla, Revenge of SpaceGodzilla, which he abandoned in favor of Terror of SpaceGodzilla.
