Godzilla & Kong: The Cinematic Storyboard Art of Richard Bennett is an upcoming art book featuring storyboards from the MonsterVerse films Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong illustrated by Richard Bennett. Clover Press will publish it in September 2022, having secured $46,925 from a Kickstarter campaign.[1] The funds, vastly in excess of the original $7,000 goal, will allow the book to have a ribbon, printed end papers, spot varnish on the cover, and a dust jacket. A 12-page Bennett sketchbook was also made available exclusively to Kickstarter backers.

Contents

Along with hundreds of the storyboards Bennett drew for the aforementioned films, the book will contain stills from the finished films for comparison. However, some of the storyboards represent scenes which were ultimately not included in the films. Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard will write the foreword, while Kong: Skull Island production designer Stefan Dechant will write the afterword.
