Monster Godzilla (怪獣ゴジラ is a Kaijū Gojira)1954 novel based on the Nippon Broadcasting System's radio drama of the same name. It was adapted by Sango Nagase from Shiro Horie's script for the radio drama, and finalized by Godzilla (1954) storywriter Shigeru Kayama, who is credited as its author. Iwaya Shoten published the novel on October 25, 1954, a little over a week before Godzilla was released to theaters. Daiwashobo later republished it on October 30, 1983, with a second edition released that November 30. Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha also republished it on November 10, 1999.
