GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters (GODZILLA 怪獣惑星 is a Gojira Kaijū Wakusei, lit. GODZILLA: Monster Planet)Japanese novelization of the 2017 animated Godzilla film of the same name, as well as the first half of its sequel, GODZILLA: City on the Edge of Battle. It is a follow-up to the novels GODZILLA: Monster Apocalypse and GODZILLA: Project Mechagodzilla, and will itself be followed by the novelization of GODZILLA: The Planet Eater. It is written by Takahiro Okura, supervised by screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, and published by Kadokawa. It was released on November 2, 2018.[2]

Trivia
- This is the first tie-in novel for the GODZILLA anime trilogy not written by Renji Oki. This novel's author, Takahiro Okura, would go on to write the novelization for GODZILLA: The Planet Eater.
- Despite being an adaptation of GODZILLA: Planet of the Monsters, this novel is being released as a tie-in for GODZILLA: The Planet Eater, just as GODZILLA: Monster Apocalypse and GODZILLA: Project Mechagodzilla were tie-ins for the first two films of the trilogy.
