Godzilla (怪獣ゴジラ Kaijū Gojira) is a serialized novel by Shigeru Kayama based on the original 1954 Godzilla film, for which had also written a story treatment. The 295-page book was published on October 25, 1954, shortly before the film's release. An English translation by Jeffrey Angles will be published by University of Minnesota Press on October 3, 2023, alongside Kayama's novelization of the sequel, Godzilla Raids Again.[1]
