An expedition to a quiet island in the South Pacific by a group of [[Rolisica|Rolisicans]] finds a marvel of modern science living among a native tribe: the presence of numerous tiny fairies called the Ailenas {{Nihongo|アイレナ|Airena}}, who follow and adore their goddess, [[Mothra]]. The expedition steals away the fairies, unaware that they have angered the island's goddess. Mothra hatches and travels to Japan in her larva form, eventually metamorphosing into her imago form, and then flies to Rosilica, destroying [[New Kirk City]] and rescuing her fairies, before returning to the island to live out her life in peace.

Plot
