This is the saddest anime death, the worst thing about it is there's another universe or timeline that got to see this movie and it's angering that Toho made the mistake of declining such offer.

Oh, and don’t forget, FvJvA eventually became a popular comic.

(Who knows, maybe Godzilla v Gamera might get a comic one of these days)

I can't believe this movie was conceived but cancelled. It would have made so much money.

Creative differences and profit splits are usually the reasons these kinds of movies never see the light of day.

That’s what happened to Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash (an unmade sequel to Freddy vs. Jason and Army of Darkness), Bruce Campbell even explained why FvJvA never materialized.

The dream Godzilla vs. Gamera film: Directed by Takao Okawara and Shusuke Kaneko, Written by Kazuki Omori, Wataru Mimura, and Shusuke Kaneko, Special Effects by Koichi Kawakita and Shinji Higuchi, Music by Akira Ifukube and Kow Otani. Too bad it will never happen.

I would love to see this film, plus if it was made, it'll be one of the most sucessful Godzilla films of all-time such as King Kong vs. Godzilla, as not only Godzilla fans would watch this, also Gamera fans as well.

If both companies want money on their films, than they should have produced this instead of the Milliennium series which received poor box office performance like Godzilla: Final Wars, that led to another hiatus of the franchise until 2014.

Imagine. Just Imagine. Or imagine: Godzilla, Gamera, and Ultraman: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.

Is King Kong the monster that doesn't appear in the name of the film

Shusuke Kaneko would've been the ideal director imo.
