King Kong: The 8th Wonder of the World - Pinball Game is a pinball video game developed for Java-enabled mobile phones by French developer Gameloft. It was released in early 2006 as a tie-in for Universal Pictures' film King Kong, which released in December of 2005. It is built on the same engine as the company's previous pinball game Mystery Mansion, and the two share many assets and elements.
Gameplay
The game is based on the 2005 film, and uses mobile phone buttons to operate. the left and right "soft keys" are used to navigate menus, while the 5 key is used to select options and launch balls. the 4 button operates the table's left-side flippers, and the 6 button operates those on its right. the 7, 8, and 9 buttons are used to tilt the table. Video events on the simulated video screen include using the 4 and 6 keys to fend off attacking Venatosaurus, and - If a ball is lost, a Vastatosaurus rex is shown eating it. During the 'lottery' at the end of a ball's run, used to determine if the player can continue, a graphic is shown of Kong discarding various women until settling on one.
