The North American F86F Sabre is a transonic jet fighter aircraft that was built and produced by North American Aviation. Owing to its popularity and use by many different military forces, the F86F Sabre is featured in numerous Toho Template:Kaiju Template:FilmCs in the Showa era, making its debut in the 1954 Template:GFilmC Godzilla. In the films, it is usually employed as a first line of defence against various attacking kaiju in these films, often proving ineffective against the monsters it fought against.
