After the president of Russia's Polonium 210 put Guilala to sleep, the German chancellor ordered the monster to be exposed to Dublin VX VII, an experimental nerve gas that the Germans hoped would kill him. Plastic sheeting was laid over the sleeping monster, and on the Chancellor's orders the gas was pumped in. However, Guilala awoke, tore off the sheeting and began to laugh. The Canadian president mused that the Dublin VX VIII was nothing more than laughing gas to Guilala, who proceeded to perform a dance as the sun began to set.
