The B.E.A.S.T. Glove (ビースト・グローブ,   Bīsuto Gurōbu), an acronym for Bio-Enhanced Anatomech Seismic Thunder Glove, is a mechanical prototype battle gauntlet worn by Kong that appears in the 2024 Legendary Pictures film Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

After Mechagodzilla's rampage through Hong Kong in 2024, Monarch developed the B.E.A.S.T. Glove as part of Project Powerhouse to enhance Kong's abilities against future Titan threats. In 2027, after Kong's right arm was frostbitten by Shimo's Frost Bite Blast following an encounter with the Skar King and the Great Apes, the B.E.A.S.T. Glove was fixed to the arm, healing it. Kong would then wield the glove against Godzilla and the Skar King.

Name

The B.E.A.S.T. Glove's name was first revealed on the packaging for a MEGA Construx Kong set.

Development

According to Scanline VFX supervisor Nick Crew, realizing the B.E.A.S.T. Glove for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire "came with a few major challenges, mostly related to technical functionality and character performance. Attaching such a large metal plate structure to something that moves as independently and multi-directionally as a hand and forearm created multiple rigging and asset design obstacles that had to be diagnosed and addressed. To help find solutions, we again turned to our art director/concept artist Nick Lloyd to do some initial sculpt and articulation explorations, helping us to create an initial workable design." The Scanline team sought to show the glove enhancing Kong's strength by designing "additional interlocking mechanisms" for when he went on the offensive and adding electrical and steam effects.

Design

The B.E.A.S.T. Glove is a large, mechanical yellow gauntlet encompassing Kong's right arm, spanning from his elbow to his fingertips and featuring a swivel ring at the wrist. Segmented armor runs along the outer forearm to the fingers, while gray components are affixed to the fingertips.

After Kong's hand was frostbitten by Shimo's Frost Bite Blast, Trapper Beasley suggested revisiting Monarch Outpost One to retrieve the prototype from Project Powerhouse. Dr. Ilene Andrews elaborated to Bernie Hayes that Project Powerhouse was developed post-Mechagodzilla to enhance Kong's abilities against potential threats from other hostile Titans. He transported the prototype B.E.A.S.T. Glove to Kong, seamlessly conforming to his injured hand. As Kong received treatment from the glove to heal his frostbite, he initially grappled with scaling a hillside, but he quickly adapted to the device, experimenting with its electrical features by striking the ground.

Later on, in Egypt, Kong knocked Godzilla to the ground with the B.E.A.S.T. Glove and pummeled him. While fighting the Skar King in the Hollow Earth, Kong blocked strikes from his battle axe and the Whipslash with the B.E.A.S.T. Glove. In Rio de Janerio, a direct punch to the face floored the Skar King and knocked out one of his teeth. It also allowed Kong to smash apart a building thrown by the Skar King's Whipslash and shield himself from Shimo's Frost Bite Breath.

Kong knocked both Godzilla and the Skar King down to the ground while wearing the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, and shattered a building that the latter threw with his Whipslash.

Flight

The B.E.A.S.T. Glove is capable of flight when not equipped by Kong.

Healing serum

After attaching itself to Kong's hand, the B.E.A.S.T. Glove injected a serum into him which healed the frostbite he had received from Shimo's Frost Bite Breath.

Electricity generation

The B.E.A.S.T. Glove can generate electricity when striking a target.

Durability

The B.E.A.S.T. Glove showed great durability, receiving no obvious damage from Godzilla's or Shimo's jaws, the Skar King's Whipslash, Kong's battle axe, or Shimo's Frost Bite Blast.

The B.E.A.S.T. Glove essentially plays the same role as in the film. After Mechagodzilla's destruction by Kong in 2024, Monarch used its remains to aid in the construction of the B.E.A.S.T. Glove. Bernie Hayes questioned whether it could become "an evil arm that's going to take on a life of its own," to which Dr. Ilene Andrews joked about the engineers' assurance of a "very low chance" of such an outcome.
