The Curtiss C-46D Commando is an American transport plane that first appears in Mothra vs. Godzilla.

Mothra vs. Godzilla
As Godzilla bore down on the Japanese countryside, the JASDF requisitioned one of the transport planes and modified it so it could carry powerful napalm bombs. The plane flew overhead, bombarding Godzilla with numerous bombs, even setting him on fire at one point. Despite Godzilla's apparent ignorance of this, the C-46D was successful in luring Godzilla away from a nearby city.

Trivia
- The scene where Godzilla's head is set on fire by a run from the C-46D was accidental, with Godzilla's suit actor, Haruo Nakajima, continuing to act as usual.[2]
