At the time, I didn't know what the kaiju eiga were like, but I had a strong interest in it. Actually, I didn't have much opportunity to act with Godzilla! I was in front of the blue screen in composite shots. After the shooting, I came to know what it was all about and was impressed.

Yuriko Hoshi (星由里子,   Hoshi Yuriko) was a Japanese actress. As one of Toho's young stars in the 1960's, she played reporters in the Godzilla films Godzilla vs. Mothra and Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, as well as Yuichi Tanuma's girlfriend in the Young Guy series. Hoshi passed away from lung cancer on May 16, 2018, at the age of 74.
