Jack Black

Thomas Jacob "Jack" Black is an American actor, comedian, and musician best known for his roles in the Kung Fu Panda films, School of Rock, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its sequel, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie. He is also the lead singer of the band Tenacious D. He starred as Carl Denham in King Kong (2005).

- Tenacious D has a song dedicated to King Kong as a bonus track on their 2006 album The Pick of Destiny, simply titled "Kong".
- The giant inflatable Godzilla head set up atop the Cinerama Dome to promote Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) makes an appearance in a video uploaded to Jack Black's YouTube channel JablinskiGames, "Game of Thrones and Creams & Lotions."[1] Black throws a sword at the monster which falls far short of its target.
- Black has appeared in two films in which characters watch Toho monster movies on television: Mars Attacks! (1996), featuring Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989), and Apollo 10 1⁄2: A Space Age Childhood (2022), featuring Matango (1963).
