The Super X3 (スーパーXⅢ Sūpā Ekkusu Surī, lit. "Super X III") is an aerial vehicle used by G-Force that first appeared in the 1995 Godzilla film Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.

Godzilla vs. Destoroyah
The Super X3 was introduced as Japan's latest form of defense, following Mechagodzilla and MOGUERA. It was also the third in the line of Super X aircraft, succeeding the Super X2 which was damaged beyond repair in 1990.
In 1996, it was discovered that Godzilla's heart was starting to melt down, which put the entire planet of Earth at risk of annihilation if he were to explode. After receiving word of Godzilla heading for the Ikata Nuclear Power Plant, G-Force and the JSDF deployed the Super X3, piloted by Sho Kuroki, to intercept him.
As Godzilla approached the plant, the Super X3 assaulted the kaiju with its payload of cadmium and freezer missiles and its Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) maser beam. While the cadmium reduced crucial nuclear reactions in Godzilla's heart, the remaining freezer weapons drastically reduced his core temperature, eventually freezing Godzilla solid and, in turn, buying Japan added time to decide on a new plan of attack. However, the freezing of Godzilla lead to a new apocalyptic threat: once Godzilla's core temperature reached 1200°C, his body would melt down into the core of the planet, destroying it in the process.
The Super X3 later appeared in Tokyo alongside a fleet of freezer-capable CLT-95s, MBT-MB92s and MBAW-93s. When Destoroyah attempted to escape the wrath of Godzilla after killing Godzilla Junior, the Super X3 and the land forces fired on him with their ULT masers, shredding the monster's wings and sending him to the superheated ground, where he exploded upon impact.
Shortly after Destoroyah's death, Godzilla's core temperature reached the 1200°C threshold and he began to melt down, prompting the Super X3 and the land forces to fire their freezing technology in order to prevent his remains from burning into Earth's core. Their combined efforts were successful in preventing the destruction of the planet, but they were unable to contain the massive amounts of radiation released as Godzilla died. However, Godzilla Junior's lifeless body absorbed the radiation, reviving and maturing him into the next Godzilla.
Capabilities
Laser Nuclear Fusion Reactor
In Godzilla Generations: Maximum Impact, the Super X3 is powered by a Laser Nuclear Fusion Reactor (レーザー核融合炉 rezakakuyuugou ro).
Flight
The Super X3 can fly at a maximum speed of Mach 1.7, allowing it to quickly reach objectives and evade kaiju attacks.
Durability
In Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, the Super X3's hull features a layer of TA32, rendering it extremely resistant to heat and radiation. The layer proved strong enough to ensure Sho Kuroki and his crew's survival during Godzilla's meltdown. In Godzilla Generations: Maximum Impact, the Super X3 is instead protected by the Heat-Resistant Alloy NT-1S.
Weapon systems
Offensively, the Super X3 can fire an Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) laser beam stored internally in its nose when the weapons bay opens up, also known as a cryolaser. It is also armed with freezer missiles stored in internal weapons bays in the front of its wings and cadmium missiles stored in a missile pod that extends upwards from the top of the fuselage's midsection behind the cockpit, which can counteract Godzilla's radiation by slowing nuclear reactions in his heart. These weapons, combined with the Super X3's superb heat and radiation resistance, proved essential in the vehicle's skirmishes with Godzilla and its assistance in finally killing Destoroyah.
In Godzilla Generations: Maximum Impact, the Super X3's ULT laser beam is referred to as the Freezing Ray. Additionally, its cadmium missiles are instead referred to as Cadmium Shells.

Godzilla: Save the Earth
The Super X3 is one of two possible characters who can be summoned with the Air Strike power-up, along with Battra. It flies around the stage shooting both conventional and freezing missiles at the summoner's opponent(s). The freezing missile will not incapacitate enemies if they are jumping, airborne, digging, or prone.

Trivia
- The Super X3 was operated by Sho Kuroki, who had previously operated the Super X2 in Godzilla vs. Biollante.
- The Super X3 is one of the only Heisei series anti-kaiju inventions that was not destroyed in battle with a monster. The Super X, the Super X2, Mecha-King Ghidorah, the Garuda, and Mechagodzilla were all destroyed by Godzilla, and MOGUERA (including Land Moguera and Star Falcon) was destroyed by SpaceGodzilla. No CLT-95s are shown to be destroyed by Godzilla or Destoroyah.
- Concept art reveals that the Super X3 was originally designed to be an incarnation of the Gotengo, featuring three drills. Another piece of concept art reveals that at one point the Super X3 was to be codenamed the "Wyvern". In early drafts of the script of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, the role of the Super X3 was to be taken by a new mecha, G-END, which was built using parts from the destroyed MOGUERA.
- The 1996 special issue of Uchusen magazine promoting Godzilla vs. Destoroyah states that the Super X3 has MECM ports on its wings, the same jamming system used on MOGUERA. The article also says that the Super X3 was made from an improved super-heat-resistant alloy named NT-1S, developed from Mechagodzilla's NT-1 alloy, with an even stronger artificial diamond coating.[citation needed]
