Godzilla vs. Destoroyah
Having been sighted near Okinawa, Godzilla quickly swam hundreds of miles towards the main islands of Japan, appearing at the mouth of the Bungo Channel. Realising that he was travelling towards the nuclear power plant at the head of the channel (on the main island of Shikoku), G-Force and the JSDF realised that they needed to defend the three islands at any cost, and so the Super X3 was launched.
Godzilla arrived in the channel, with his nuclear meltdown converting much of the water into steam, but the Super X3 arrived on the scene. Blasting its payload of Freezer and Cadmium missles into Godzilla's body, the high-tech aircraft managed to freeze the kaiju, who toppled over and fell into the water, sinking to the bottom of the channel. Eventually, Godzilla's internal temperatures rose again, and he became active once more, continuing to journey towards Godzilla Junior in Tokyo.
