Sea of Okhotsk
The Sea of Okhotsk (オホーツク海 is a marginal sea of the western Ohōtsuku-kai)Pacific Ocean that borders northern Japan and Russian Siberia, situated between Sakhalin Island, the Kamchatka Peninsula and Hokkaido. The Sea of Okhotsk plays a significant role in the 1991 Godzilla film Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.

Heisei era
Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah
After being defeated by Godzilla in 1992, King Ghidorah attempted to escape, only for Godzilla to disable his left wing with a blast of atomic breath. King Ghidorah's injured body plummeted into the Sea of Okhotsk off the coast of Hokkaido, where it remained in a near-death state until being rediscovered by Emmy Kano in 2204.
Godzilla vs. Mothra
After emerging from the Arctic Ocean, the larval Battra made his way across the Sea of Okhotsk, where a pair of F-15J Eagles attempted unsuccessfully to deter the monster from landing on the Noto Peninsula.[1]
