Gamera vs. Jiger
In ancient times, the civilization of Mu constructed the Devil's Whistle, which they used to seal Jiger on Wester Island.
In 1970, workers for Expo '70 made plans to remove the Devil's Whistle from its site on Wester Island to present at the event. Wester Island's cultural envoy warned against removing the Devil's Whistle, alluding to Jiger being freed, but his words fell on deaf ears. On Wester Island, as helicopters prepared to airlift the statue from the ground, Gamera arrived on the island, and halted the helicopters before grabbing hold of the Devil's Whistle. However, guards opened fire on Gamera, distracting the Friend of Children and causing him to let go of the statue. A nearby volcano erupted, drawing Gamera's attention away from the statue and prompting him to feed on the heat generated by it, and the helicopters fly it to the Nankai-Maru to transport to Osaka. With the Devil's Whistle no longer in its place, Jiger emerged from the ground, freed. Gamera flew down from the volcano to battle with her, and the two engaged in a brief battle. Gamera had the upper hand until Jiger fired Solid Saliva Missiles into Gamera's limbs, causing him to fall on his back and preventing him from tucking his limbs into his shell to take flight. Jiger subsequently took to the sea, leaving her opponent neutralized, and setting out to destroy the Devil's Whistle.
Shortly after, Gamera eventually managed to remove the Solid Saliva Missiles from his limbs, allowing him to fly to Osaka to fight Jiger once again.
After having killed Jiger by spearing her through the head with the Devil's Whistle, Gamera flew her carcass back to Wester Island.
