Pensacola is the western-most city on Florida's Panhandle, noted as one of the largest cities on the Gulf Coast and home to a significant US Naval Air Station that serves as the home base for the famous Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron. The city appears in Godzilla vs. Kong.

In the year 2024, Godzilla attacked and destroyed the U.S. headquarters of Apex Cybernetics in Pensacola, resulting in eight deaths and dozens of injuries. Conspiracy theorist and Titan Truth Podcast host Bernie Hayes had infiltrated the facility to expose their shady practices, and discovered what had been luring Godzilla: a large mechanical component for Apex's Mechagodzilla project. Believing in a connection between Apex and Godzilla's aggression, Madison Russell and her friend Josh Valentine sought out Bernie, and together the three returned to the ruined facility. There they made their way down to sublevel 33, and accessed a high-speed subterranean transport tunnel that took them to Apex's other headquarters in Hong Kong.
