Trivia
- Outside mainstream kaiju films, Kobe has also been featured in other giant monster-related works of fiction:
- Kobe served as the backdrop for the two-part story-line from the 1967 series Ultraseven, The Ultra Garrison Goes West, Part 1 and The Ultra Garrison Goes West, Part 2, where the city and local seas have been infiltrated by the deceptive Pedan Aliens. Later, the Pedans attack Kobe Port in full-force with their giant robotic weapon King Joe who soon battles the titular hero, Ultraseven. The two-parter is notable for the exquisite and detailed model-set of Kobe Port built for the climactic battle.
- Kobe Tower is featured in Yokopro's bromide series Monster Collage (apart of the infamous Pachimon phenomenon) where its about to be toppled by the monster Daigoras (whose likeness is taken from the Ultraseven monster Eleking)[1]
