United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates, also called the UAE or simply the Emirates, is a federation of monarchies located in the Arabian Peninsula in West Asia. It is known for its immense wealth and large cities. The Emirates have been mentioned or featured in few instances, in particular its sprawling metropolis of Dubai, across kaiju media.

"Gadabout"
While on a flight to Dubai, Mei pondered about the string of numbers and letters Yun sent her. Later, butler Makita K. Nakagawa met her at the airport and drove her to the site of Dr. Li Guiying's lecture in Dubai.
Mei and Makita arrived just in time to see politician Michael Steven, who also worked with the SHIVA.consortium, introduce Guiying. She explained Archetype's incredible properties—light yet durable, and also able to regenerate itself. Until recently, it had only been a hypothetical material, but she revealed four Archetype cubes and showcased their ability to trap a laser and increase its energy, which soon caused them to shatter. Mei interrupted her, speculating that Archetype is refracting the light through time, explaining how it can violate the law of conservation with energy. She flushed with embarrassment as the rest of the audience stared at her, but Guiying remained unfazed, recognizing her at once.
Later, Mei stared in amazement at the lavish room provided for her in Dubai. After realizing that she left her suitcase key inside her suitcase without locking it, Mei realizesd that Yun had already told her the answer to his puzzle: "solve it and find out." Their conversation resumed, during which he likened Archetype to MD5; to determine what exactly it is, every possible molecular grouping and atomic structure would have to be tested.
"Theorist"
In Dubai, Mei Kamino presented her theory on how Archetype can refract light through time to Dr. Li Guiying, who affirms it. She notes that the SHIVA.consortium calls the process the Ashihara Cascade, named after the scientist whose paper allowed them to finally figure it out.
"Enfatico"
Mei Kamino searched for documents on Ashihara's work in a library with the assistance of Pelops II, as other patrons watched a news report on flights being grounded due to the Red Dust. After looking in major publications, she found a book with sketches by Ashihara which included the Orthogonal Diagonalizer and the equation "6 = 9." Pelops II noticed how Ashihara's notes closely resembled the ones featured in her research.
Mei continued to go through Ashihara's sketches, trying to understand his illogical equation and the phrase "fearful symmetry". Eavesdropping, Yukie Kanoko identified it as a reference to the William Blake poem "The Tyger". As they discuss Archetype, Kamino was able to put it together: both the equation and the phrase were referring to Archetype's destructive potential to affect the symmetry of space-time. She rushed to Dr. Li Guiying to share her findings, spilling her papers in her haste. Impressed by her conclusion, Li asked her to accompany her on a trip to London.

One of Dr. Mad Oniyama's legion of monsters, Rodan, who he also described as his Bio-Bomber, was tasked with performing raids on oil facilities around the world, including the destruction of an oil refinery in the United Arab Emirates.
